Yesterday after to download a MKV video encoded with x265 I put it on a pendrive just to figure out that my TV won't recognize the format. Then I came back to the computer to convert it and no one of the converters I tried (Freemake Video Converter, MovAvi and Apowersoft MKV Converter Studio) could do the job. MovAvi even popped me a message saying that x265 is only possible in Windows 10. Sure.
Anyway, I have KLite installed on my computer and it plays nicely the format. But I need to convert it to play on my Samsung TV. I am under Windows 7 64bits.
This is not the first time I have this issue. The other times the "fix" was search for the same video but encoded with a different format/encoder. However I have noticed that x265 has been used very often so I would like to find a more definitive solution.
Any idea about how to sort this out?
Thanks!
