Avidemux auto-detects the encoding info, let's cut the clip and add more clips, then save into 1 video file without reencoding. This is amazing! The downside, is the interface that isn't so user friendly or productive. I'm looking to get my dad a software that does just that, but with an easier UI possibly.

Is there an alternative to Avidemux? Preferably open source, but I'm also considering paid as I understand easy UI typically comes at a cost. (I wouldn't mind using a simpler UI, myself.)
