  1. ok... this is weird. Usually TMPGEnc works fine, but here's what i'm doing:

    1) DVD rip usuing smart ripper
    2) frameserve with FlaskMPEG6 and plugin
    3) encode to MPEG01 VCD with TMPGEnc

however, it works GREAT for about 26 minutes, and then from then on only shows a black screen and no audio.

P.S. I'm using FlaskMPEG to frameserv instead of DVD2AVI because DVD2AVI gives me a "video card does not support YUV error", even though i have a Geforce2 GTS DDR

    what am I doing wrong?

    1) as for your dvd2avi problem, try going to the video dropdown menu (only appears after u load vobs) and then going to color space and then change the setting to RGB instead of YUV

    2) as with flaskmpeg, in the options, under the "general" tab, there's a place where u can put in compile time, see if you have complie entire movie checked...if you do, then maybe you should manually entire in the number of seconds you want to encode your movie

  3. yeah, i tried the compile time. i only set it to the number of seconds the movie is. otherwise it does a lot of extra blank frames. but i'm talking about DURING the movie, it will encode the first 26 so or minutes, and the rest of the movie will be blank

  4. ok...... i found out what it was doing. it was only reading the first .vob file and then cutting off the rest. but wtf? isn't flask supposed to be able to load all the vob's as one file?

  5. did you rip the vobs in smartripper's "movie mode" or "file mode".....flaskmpeg only takes complete vobs w/o any pre-processing by the ripper...hence, if there are multi-angles in the movie, smartripper will cut it out of the vobs and flaskmpeg will not be able to handle the vobs...

try ripping in "file mode", if there are any multi-angles, flaskmpeg will let you choose which one u want
