  1. what's the best DVD-R burner to get?

  2. Definate the a04 but make sure you get either a verbatim or pioneers rw-discs as i have tried numerous others and to my expense have learned the hard way trust me...........

    I agree, the pioneer DVR-A04 (or DVR-104 if OEM) is a sweet burner. I just got mine a week ago and it works really well.

    The DVR-A04 now supports "buffer underrun protection" and DMA accesses. When the A04 was released, it REPLACED the A03. There are still many A03's out there in the retail channel (but I have noticed that the prices are about the same as the A04).

  7. Do most DVD players play these DVD-R discs? Have we started a compability list/guide yet? Might be an idea.
