I know it’s a little old school but I still regularly use my VCR. I have this Shirley Temple tape I got today thats seems in good condition. None of the labeling on the tape itself is worn or faded, in fact it looks brand new, I can even easily read all the numbers and letters on the side of the tape. Yet, it’s not playing Properly. I hear no out of the ordinary noises from the VCR when playing the tape but the time display displays all zeros. It knows theres something in there and its playing but its as if the tape is blank. No audio or picture. Could it be blank? I’ve used the thing since childhood but I dont KNOW all the ins and outs, ya know?

Yes, the tape could be blank. Put it in another VCR and see what happens.
