    Hey guys!

    Just bought the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 and I love it. I do have a question though (I'm a capturing noob, so bear with me): When I capture using the PC, using RECentral 4, the file records as MP4. When I capture using just the device, to the SD card, the file is a .MOV. What am I missing?

    Any insight? Much appreciated!

    The container is at the discretion of the program doing the capturing.

    Will I lose a lot of resolution if I convert the .MOV to MP4?

    You can probably remux the MOV to MP4 and there will be no loss at all.
