Hi,
I am completely green here but have successfully been able to get a number of VCD's burnt from AVI's. My problem is that I have a Divx AVI that seems to use a OggVobis audio stream. I can play this in Media Player but every time I try to extract it to a Wav file in VirtualDub it says it's not a recognised format. If I try to straight convert it using TMPGenc it gives me an 'error initialising ACM' error. I have read a few things about using this codec but nothing seems to remedy this. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
Thanks,
G.

You can try to reinstall the codec because virtual dub is pretty good about using most all codecs out there.

Thanks for the reply. I have managed to open this and get it processing in TMPGenc. If I just run a straight conversion from AVI to MPG will this mean I get unsynchronised sound ? The reason it wouldnt work originally i think is because I was using NT.

Windows NT is a mutant. I wouldnt do video on a NT or 2000 machine if possible, 98, ME, and XP are media machines.
