  1. I am looking for some help whit routing in VP5. The guides with the program can't answer my questions...

Here is what I want to do, but can't figure out quite how:

    Production Logo 1
    Production Logo 2
    Menu with 3 choices
Stay on Menu until Select show
    Selected Show Plays
    Return to Menu
Stay on Menu until Select show
    Selected Show Plays
    etc.
When Disc Ends Play Production Logo 3

Right now, I've got the intro working fine, the menu comes up, I select my program, the shows done and it runs right into the next show, not returning to the menu and waiting for a selection...

The Production Logo 3 at the end of disc was trying to use the "Endplay" feature discussed in the VP5 help files...

    All help appreciated,
    Zim

  3. The way you would want to do it is as follows:

Drag and drop Production Logo 1
Drag and drop Production Logo 2 under Production Logo 1
Click on Production logo 1, select button editor, click on the 1 button and select NONE.
    Now for routing....
Use the timeout command, that is the diamond, and drag it from Production logo 1 to Production Logo 2.

Ok.. so we are now up to the menu...

Select a backround picture for the menu, and drag and drop below Production Logo 2. Do the diamond thing and button thing again, but this time drag the diamond to the menu picture.

Add Shows 1,2&3 by dragging and dropping below the menu.. They should show up as 1, 2, 3 below it. Select the menu picture, and select Button editor. Select buttons 1-3 and select preview.

    Now... for the menu routing....

Select the diamonds on 1-3 and drag them to the menu.

    Now you are done...

The Production logo 3 isn't possible in Videopack... It doesn't allow an end of disc video.. you could time out 3 to goto it.. but it wouldn't be what you want.

  4. Thanks for the help...I'll try it out when I can.

When you say "drag and drop below" do you mean so that each item (logo 1, logo 2, menu, show 1, show 2, etc) is it's own element or that the shows are sub-elements under the menu?

    eg:

    + logo 1
    |
    + logo 2
    |
    +menu
    |
    +show 1
    |
    + show 2

    or

    + logo 1
    | |
    | +logo 2
    |
    +menu
    | |
    | +show 1
    | |
    | + show 2

    If this makes any sense...
