    I have a Sony PX70 (ACVHD)

I transfer and do basic editing in Movie Maker.

Most of what I shoot is outdoors.

I shoot almost identical subjects in the same area with the weather being exactly the same 8 x 45 minute session back to back to back etc.

When I turn it into MP4 via Movie Maker the results very from 1.7 gig to 10.5 gig

I don't understand how this can vary. And this is recent!

I have 20 gig a week on Vimeo's Pro program.

I used to be able to get all the videos uploaded each week. Now I may get only 2

Even my computer guru cannot understand it and his job is designing and building video security programs.

Can someone help me with this please?

Since this is my first post please make sure it is where I can find your response.

    Thank you.

Do you set up your encoder explicitly to produce material of about the same average bitrate, or do you let your encoder decide freely to use as much as it needs to ensure a certain quality rating, or did you never even look at its options?

Well maybe you need to start setting a bitrate limit if it's not giving bitrates within reason.

    Hi,
Mp4 means nothing in this case, try post text form of mediainfo of file that you are interested. Probably you made some changes in codecs settings. Mediainfo will show more. If you have in archive files, that are o.k. for you, post mediainfo of those files as well. To compare them.
