  1. Alright, so I burned my VCD and it works but not very well. My Samsung player takes forever to recognize the CD-RW and sometimes doesn't recognize it at all. When it does it plays but starts skipping and acting kind of finnicky. I was under the impression that VCDs are supposed to smooth almost as DVDs. (Of course the quality wouldn't be). So I'm wondering if its the brand of CD-RWs I'm using. I know my player won't read CD-Rs at all! Right now I'm using Memmorex CD-RWs, anyone know if this the problem and if it is what brand would be best?

  2. I experienced the same problems with CD-Rs and Samsung SV-1E combo device. Actually I used Memorex blancs too and Samsung read them very bad. Then I recognized that Memorex blancs are almost transparent... and tried to write on other brands (that are not so transparent - Philips in that case) - and it works! No problem since.
Also tried Fuji, TDK - ok.
