Burned vcd on cd-rw, works on computer, but no sound on DVD

I burned a vcd, finally got it to work on dvd player, but no sound. If I run the vcd on computer it works fine. Any thoughts on this subject?I used memorex cd-rw with nero and was converted with TMPG. Player is Samsung 611.
