I used to be able to get the mp4 directly using fiddler. Unfortunately, the website has just been updated.

I can locate the .mpd url, but I keep getting an error message when I try it in youtube-dl.

Can it can be downloaded at all?

I watch the same show and greatly annoyed by the site change. At least what I can research from, there looks like a <ContentProtection> tag in that manifest file and doesn't look like there's a way to do it.

Yes, there seems to be encryption. I tried ffmpeg and got this:
[hls,applehttp @ 000001c3fa0c1fe0] SAMPLE-AES encryption is not supported yet

I found a program which claims to decrypt SAMPLE-AES but can't get it to work.

Has a SAMPLE-AES encrypted video ever been downloaded or am I just wasting my time ?

Having exact same problem, always was able to download GAA games.
Would love a solution.
Or how to use that hlsdl link.
