  1. Recently I purchased a foreign DVD that, unfortunately, does not come with English subtitles. Fortunately, I found a website that linked me to a download of an .srt file of the subtitles. They worked clear through the first hour of the film, but once it hit the second, it stopped working. I can even pinpoint the spot in the .srt file that it stops working-- line 607. I've looked at it and looked at it and I can't figure out any reason for it to stop working. When I tried reloading the subtitles at a later point of the film, they started up again... but the subtitles started again from the beginning, or near there.
I'm attaching the file for the subtitles, but since the video I'm working off of is an actual DVD, I can't upload that. If anyone has advice, I would very much appreciate it!
    Thank you so much!

  2. Open the subtitle in Subtitle Edit and use Tools -> Fix common errors.

Your subtitles has a lot of overlapping display times - not all players like that.
