    Hi everybody,

I got some AVIs with VirtualDub from my comcorder in 720x480 (huffyuv codec). Also I have a Gradiente D22 player and it has some limitations. It plays almost anything if I burned the CD in SVCD mode but the mpeg may be a MPEG1 or MPEG2 in any resolution. Also it only handles about 2500 kbps max.

I did a lot of test and Im not been able to decide what would be the best I could get with this player. For example, I could go with a standard SVCD, but I didnt think its so good as a MPEG1 with about 2500 kbps (xVCD). Maybe I didnt chose the right things in TMPGEnc... I dont care how much space It will use, I think 30 minutes in a CD would be enough.

    So, what you all suggest?

  2. You want quality? The answer is CCE + SVCD. With only 30 minutes on one CD, you can get near-DVD quality.

  3. And with very careful setup you can fit 45 mins to a CD. If you don't mind letterboxing then 60mins....

If your player only handles 2500 kbps and your video clip is 30 minutes, you can't fill the CD completely. CBR @ 2500 and standard SVCD resolution should be ok. If you use a higher resolution, there will be some macroblocks at that bitrate.
