I started fooling with it lately, and I'm impressed. The interface is kind of herky jerky, and totally different from everything I'm used to. It seems to be a remake of MS Digital Image Pro because its part raster and part vector.

Paint 3D any good ? I'm in the same boat. Is it worth learning for casual stuff ?

Yeah, its good for making collages, stickers, social media content. Im using GreenScreen for capture. I'm running on a Surface4 and use the pen and fingers.

Weird Example: When you bring in a raster, and place it, it will automatically flatten it, but you can cut it out again and no hole in canvas. So you have to rewire the brain.

The only way to change layers of elements is to marquee select, then cut and paste back in to be on top. Good for easy-peasy quick custom emoji.

I was using PicCollage for a while, but Paint3D is faster and easier.

As far as the 3D is concerned, I've only seen 2.5D tools.

I mostly use MS Digital Image Pro, but it's so old it won't scale properly on a tablet. Too much pixel density. Paint3D works flawlessly on the tablet. Everything is visible easily, and no eye strain.

UPDATE: Sucks. Totally counter-intuitive, and very primitive tools. You'd have to be a numbnuts to like this POS.
