Hi all
I've captured a VHS (PAL) movie using my ATI AIW 128 Pro to MPEG-1 file.
Then I imported the file into Adobe Premiere and exported the audio track in WAV format.
The resulting WAV file was identical in length to the mpeg file.
The problem is regardless of the tools I use, I always end up having audio sync problem in the encoded file.
I have tried the following:
- Virtualdub's frameserving to Panasonic MPEG-1 encoder
- Encoding the captured mpeg file and the WAV files in Panasonic MPEG-1 encoder.
- Encoding with Premiere.
I have read -almost- all related posts on all forums and all guides, and tried every suggested solution but with no success.
My system details are as follows:
PIII 667
Win98 SE
512 MB RAM
20GB HDD ATA 66
ATI AIW 128 Pro (32MB)
Am I missing anything?
Thanks
Mike

If you captured with your AIW, was that using ATI MMC? If so, what version of MMC?
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
