problems capturing with AVERTV

I have an AVERTV card for capturing. It works fine with the software included with it but i doesn't work with other capture software like virtualdub.
In that particular program the error that i get says:

The capture controller has not been installed properly.

My OS is WindowsME and i can see installed in the device administrator panel that AVERTV WDM Video capturer is intalled.

Can anyone help me? Thanks

Hi

You might try going to http://www.aver.com/ and DL the latest drivers and software. Be sure you DL their driver uninstall and run it first. You will find what you need by following the support link at the top of their webpage. I am able to use my Aver Tv card with Virtual Dub no problem. My complaint is that I can't capture in a larger format than 320X240 otherwise Virtual Dub works fine and I get good results with it and the huffyuv codec and mpeg-ing through Tmpgenc.
