  1. Hi, new forumite member here. Hope you can help. I have some mp4 movie files that I want to convert to DVD (playable on most players). I have been doing the long process but getting good results...you know, hit convert, then burn to DVD and can even make copies when needed. However, someone told me recently that it would be better to convert and save the file in a folder, then you could burn more copies later, seems logical.

Now, yesterday, I converted an mp4 to mp2 as I thought I could burn it to DVD, no can do, well, you can, but it won't play on the dvd player. From videos on the Net, I was able to make a preset to get rid of black bars etc. Here is the BUT< there is no such option in TO DVD> So, what can I do or what can be done to get rid of the black bars in the DVD menu, or do I have to convert to another format and then burn to DVD? I am sure this how cropped up (eheh) before, so will await your wisdom and expertise. Thanks for listening and assisting, DR

  3. I think "someone" suggested to create the DVD as an .ISO file image on your hard drive. Then you can burn that onto a DVD but also keep the file on the hard drive in case you want to burn more copies later on. It should be possible using Freemake.

  4. It's usually suggested to use AvsToDVD as the best all-in-one converter to DVD.
