I noted remarkable degradation of HD video playback using PotPlayer 64bit with madVR as renderer after updating to nVIDIA driver version 378.49. Curved surfaces, particularly skin tones became patchy to the point of looking like a paint-by-number picture. I tried the built in video renderer in PotPlayer with no improvement. Kodi for Windows 10 Modern UI also had downgraded video with this driver, although it was not as bad.
I removed the driver in Programs and Features and at reboot Windows automatically installed version 376.33. Everything is pristine again. The patchiness is gone.
Using the latest version of madVR 0.91.5

378.49 works fine here on 3 computers. you might want to try again and use the "clean" install option.

Nvidia do tend to release noticeably buggy drivers now and then. I'm still using XP and I'm not a gamer, so after one bad driver upgrade too many (crushed blacks in video playback) I rolled back to the older drivers and stopped upgrading them. I'm still using version 295.73
