PLEASE HELP! How to play high compressed MOV files on windows 10

Hi,

I have purchased the following item from amazon UK and it records and stores in high compressed .MOV file format (so they claim). Having a look at the files on disc, it actually saved it as an .avi file that I cannot even play?!?

I cannot change the recording and storing process on the camera.
Is there any software or codec that can do this job or even convert back into normal video file formats??

Maybe try playing the videos with VLC. Also would be great if you could post the mediainfo (View--->Text) of one of these videos, or even better post a short clip from the camera.
