  1. Cannot play mov-videos anymore in Windows Mediaplayer 11 for winxp anymore.
Had it beforehand-could it make run again but this time solution does not work.
Removed association and set it again. removed WMP11 and reset it again.
ffdshow reinstalled, MP4-SPLITTER run again. Divx reinstalled, Direct X 9.0 reinstalled after deinstallation. nothing helped.
    could it be a netframework-problem?
could it be a videodriver-problem? didnt update. still the old file is valuble. newer files in winxp not advised.
    maybe reinstalling again?
maybe i should have removed ffdshow beforehand....?
maybe in ffdshow-videodecoder i dont have something activated. normally one does not have to by express.
    Update:
I think i am near the solution since i had that beforehand.
Dont know if this P2 was before my last steps:
    P1:
    Mediainfo showing
    MOV
    MPEG4
    AVC VIDEO
    PCM AUDIO
so in ffdshow i activated MPEG2 -should i also MPEG1 MPEG4 not available. maybe i should remove and reinstall latest version.
    P2:
file-type in filemanager is showing ft000018 instead of mov which is very familiar to me since i had that multiple times and the reason for that was also clear.
Maybe its because i was using again these regcleaners temporarily. regvac and ccleaner. they were the reasons for that mov-problem. video and audio-files affected.
I have a thread or at least two about that in sysopt.com forum. Here is is: I am europanorama there.

  2. SOLVED
    http://www.free-codecs.com/mp4_splitter_download.htm
There are two solutions to implement the MP4SPLITTER.
    a) standalone activator-not always working
    b) manual installation-the same like FLV-splitter
    see above link.
and using the right version-here winxp.

    so to solve both problems:
    1. reestablish the right file-ending. e.g. mov and not ft000n
remove mov in extras-ordneroptionen -if greyed out click extended first.
    when associated program found-here WMP11-doubleclick.
    2. activate MP4-splitter in this case like shown in the link(right side)-here it is:
Copy the file MP4Splitter.ax to C:\Windows\System32. Then open Start->Run and type in "regsvr32 MP4Splitter.ax" (without the quotes). You'll get a message that the registering is successful.
one must first know that with mov-file MP4 is meant....
if haali-filter is installed it must be removed first.
