    Hi everyone.
Finally dumped my dual core and upgraded my CPU and Ram and i've been testing the new setup but avisynth is giving me an "headache" as it doesnt work properly under windows 64, ive tried to use avisynth+ but its not compatible with certain programs like Ripbot264 for example...i reverted to windows 8 32bit but most video and photo editors went the 64bit way...adobe...shotcut...hitfilm express etc.

Is there any way of having avisynth+ and having programs like ripbot264 recognize it as avisynth? what have you guys done? i remember installing avisynth 32bit on windows 64 and having issues with playback and plugins that wouldnt work.

    thanks for any help.

    Windows 8.1
    AMD FX 6300
    1T HD
    8 GB RAM
    Nvidia Geforce GT 430
I love it when a plan comes together!

  2. AviSynth 32 bit runs on Windows 64 bit just fine. I would not downgrade. If you want to use AviSynth with software that doesn't know AviSynth or VfW or is not 32 bit/64 bit you can use AviSynth virtual file system (avfs). RipBot264 should work with both AviSynth 2.60 32 bit as well as AviSynth+ 32 bit even without avfs.

it displays a check screen saying it needs avisynth installed, it wont start with just avisynth+.
