  1. When I try to mux files on mkvmerge, I receive the following error: "Error: memory.cpp/safemalloc() called from file src/common/mpeg4_p10.cpp, line 590: malloc() returned NULL for a size of 160550 bytes." The TS files I'm muxing are big in size, but I have lots of storage space available. Help is appreciated, as always.

PERHAPS those TS files are b0rked...

Also, ¿are you using a 64-bit build of MKVtoolnix
Don't forget that 32-bit processes cannot use more than 4GB of RAM.

They're all fine, I just checked. I'm also using the 64-bit version. Really weird problem though, and I hope that someone can help me out.

  5. I don't remember the name, but there's a program that "fixes" TS files with unusual features. Search for that.

  7. No, it was TS-Doctor. I've never used it but I see it mentioned every now and then. VideoReDo also has some stream fix tools.

Thanks, will give those programs a try. Fwiw. tried muxing a different file and everything went well. Still don't think there is a problem with the TS file I used initially, but I could be stubborn... and subsequently, wrong.
