  1. I recently turned on my GY-HM700 and found the picture completely washed out, mainly yellowish-green or pinkish-purple. Have reset everything, played with white balance, looked through manual, message boards etc to no avail.

Any ideas what could be going on here?

Have attached a couple stills showing the issue

Pink/purple would indicate that the green channel is gone.

Any filters on the camera lens that you can remove. Just to throw that out there.

This is a three-chip camera, so perhaps something's gone wrong with the blue CCD. That would unfortunately be a tad more expensive than a filter problem! Or perhaps it's a firmware bug storing the channels to memory, since it appears to alternate between blue and green.

  5. Thanks folks.

Yep, I just got some feedback from JVC that it's most likely cabling to the CCDs or the CCD block itself that has knocked out the blue channel. Fingers crossed it's the former or a replacement camera will likely be the cheapest option.

Just thought I'd post it here in case there was a setting or fix that I had missed somewhere. Unfortunately it seems a bit more serious.
