  1. Hello everyone,

This is my first post, I hope the title of the thread is acceptable.
My problem is simple. I am trying to make a subtitled video. I have an .ssa file and an .avi file, and I am using VirtualDub 1.10.4 with the "subtitler" filter. The subtitling is great, this is not the issue; but for some reason, the first frame of my video seems to always turn out to be one that is normally found later on in the video. In other words, there is an anomaly with the first frame. I thought I would ask help here, as I cannot think of any way to solve this.
(I don't know if there is any connection, but the audio is late by 19ms, so I am using "Audio from another file" to fix it.)

I will apreciate any help you can give.
    Thank you.

  2. Normal for video coded without closed GOP - use different video editor or before using virtualdub try to convert video to some Intra frame format.

You may give a chance to virtualdub fork https://sourceforge.net/projects/vdfiltermod/ - it may be able to deal with open GOP videos.

Delete the first frame? Copy/paste the second frame over the first frame?

  4. Thank you pandy! Yes! That is marvelous. VirtualdubMod doesn't even have any problem with the audio. You just made my day. Thank you jagabo, but the suggestion of pandy just did the trick.
Thank you both. Have a blessed week.
