    Hello all

Forgive perhaps a ignorant question but am not to familiar with something like this.

But I have a video that I would like to provide to someone, but its too large to send by e-mail and I can't do it in any physical way either.

I could do this via some form of internet streaming though as the person has access to that, but as its a private video I don't want anyone other then this person to see, I don't want to post it to something like a public site like youTube, or something else they would have to join first.

Note I tried youTube an tried making it private but see they would have sign an get invited an stuff like that, an is not really what I am looking for.

So are there any other websites or other places or things I can post a vid to, that only the person I might send a url too would be able to find an view?

    Thanks for any help

  2. If video is sufficiently small size you can use one of popular file sharing services - most of them allow to share any file with reasonable size (somehow between 50MB and 1GB size - depends on file sharing site policy).
Alternatively you may use torrent infrastructure and share it as torrent (but provide link only to this person).

Just am wondering, is that all?

Basically is part of a report to someone an really can't have the person on the other side needing to go through a lot of hoops or issues of technical understanding, or concerns of security.

  4. Use Vimeo. Works like YouTube but it can be password protected and no sign-in required by recipient.

Well - there is lot of options - you can split file to parts (automatic functionality offered by any decent email client), you can use cloud based storage etc.

But not for free - nowadays privacy cost i'm afraid...

Dropbox. HJ Split & email/web. Pandy already mentioned similar things. SFTP (but you might have to host it yourself, not easy to do for newbies).

If you encrypt+password protect BEFORE uploading (7z archive, etc...), you shouldn't have to worry about privacy even on a cloud sharing site. (Obviously, give the intended user the link & pwd & methods to decrypt in a separate email).
