    any idea why my 1920x1080 verified camcorder files are being seen at 1920x1088 in megui? Resulting green lines are shown if I encode to bluray. This does not happen with other encoders. They are 1080i files.

    That used to be quite common. Since 1080 is not mod 16 some decoders padded the frame to 1088 with 8 green (or other color) lines at the bottom. Try using another h.264 decoder if you can. Or manually crop the extra 8 lines.
