I want to animate my entire library of stills. At least the ones that make the cut. Probably around 500.

Anybody got a great animation they want to share? Transitions?

I'm gonna use Vegas Pro 12 and Vegasaur.

    P.S. 2.5D would be nice.

Still animation? Isn't that one of them' Oxymoron's?

It would really depend on the image. I would go through each image and visualize how I would present it's strong points, then execute the motion.....
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

No need to tell a story, and the stills are the usual boring vacation shots. Random order is fine. Hey, Im gonna try Magisto. Thanks.

Update: I got some ideas from Magisto, but their fee is ridikalus. I'm gonna recreate with Vegasaur.

    Thanks for all the tips!

  4. I still have a soft spot in my heart for the old microsoft photostory. It can still be found. It automatically chooses moves for your photos if you like, and then you can go in and re-teak the motion and timing afterwards.

Downsides -- it's only 4:3 which you can get around by pre-squeezing your images in photoshop. The best output is wmv at very high quality -- but you can then reencode to mp4 or BR, etc.

Nah, this Vegasaur tool does auto-ken burns. You just tweak it to taste. But yeah, I remember the old PhotoStory. That was before it's time.

I still use Microsoft Digital Image Pro. Does raster and vector together, and has layering. Poorman's PhoSho.

I don't like that WMV format any more. Back in the day, it was ok. I prefer 1080p60 x264 now.
