Hello
How can I put a vlc movie on a dvd to watch on dvd player ?
Do I need to convert the vlc to an iso or img file, if so what programme can I use ?

VLC is just the video player associated with the file.
What is the file extension? .avi, .mp4, .mkv, etc?
But you can use the free AVSTODVD to convert most video files to a DVD img and burn with Imgburn.
If AVStoDVD fails can you try other DVD converters like VSO ConvertXtoDVD.
