    Hi!

I'm still newbie, but in this forum I got recommendation to buy PEXHDCAP from Startech.
It's able to capture 1280×720 Video (Intel Core 2) or 1920×1080 (Intel Core i3) from inputs: HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component with HDMI/RCA audio

I'm searching for even better solution:
    - video capture up to 1920×1200
    - sources: HDMI, VGA and as bonus (if possible) Composite and S-Video with HDMI/RCA audio
    - no matter of requirements of computer, but bit required - if is possible - under 200 EUR

    Thank you for each recommendation.

The capture card (sold under various names) in this review comes close to what you want, but does not capture 1980x1200.

    Hi!

OK, but it's missing main req'd things: 1920×1200, HDMI...
Composite and S-Video is solved for me by perfect adapter - I have with card same component adapter but composite not - so, here's Q:
Is possible to transfer Component to Composite & SVHS by same adapter on PEXHDCAP? If, is possible this adapter to buy?
So, review of card it makes best, but in my eyes is there written lot of text dedicated to standard 720×480 (NTSC) - btw. missing is word about PAL (720×576) - and like capture software is only about AmaRec - I was user of AmaRecTV before I bought PEXHDCAP... now I see that's only for other capture devices, PEHDCAP has excellent capture software...

    So, my requirements:
    HDMI
    VGA
    CVBS
    SVHS
    RCA audio
    1920×1200 capture

CVBS + SVHS adapter will be great if is usable for component input of PEXHDCAP.
Problem of PEXHDCAP can't scale down resolution - I need really 16:10 1920×1200

I can't recall seeing any devices that capture at 1920x1200. If you manage to find one, my guess is that it will be too expensive.

Specs are at Startechs page for this product. PAL resolutions and frame rates are supported according to the specs. The CVBS + SVHS adapter probably won't work with the PEXHDCAP. It does not appear to support CVBS capture and I'm not sure whether or not the PEXHDCAP accepts S-Video input.

    OK, so simple Q:
Adapter about we are talking - CVBS + SVHS - will not work.
Is possible by any adapter use component input as composite?
Really downscaling PEXHDCAP is missing, but what to do - I have not lot of money.

    Thank you for reply.

The CVBS + SVHS adapter works for the PEXHDCAP60L, which is designed to capture CVBS and SVHS.

I did some research. According to The Thrillness Blog the original PEXHDCAP does not have the ability capture a CVBS or S-Video signal at all. You would need a CVBS and SVHS to component converter box, which converts a CVBS or a SVHS signal to a component video signal to capture from a CVBS or SVIDEO source with the original PEXHDCAP. A simple adapter like the one provided with the PEXHDCAP60L can never work for the original PEXHDCAP.

I found a couple of products that can capture 1920x1200 and audio over HDMI, but they don't meet your other requirements.

Magewell USB3 HDMI Capture Dongle (1-CH) about $300 in the USA, HDMI only

Epiphan DVI2USB 3.0 about $700 in the USA, DVI, HDMI (using HDMI to DVI adapter/cable), and VGA. No audio except for HDMI.
