  1. What is the best program to edit mp3 files without loss? I have a few files and want to take some pieces from each to create one. mp3directcut looks god but find it hard to use. Is there any one where it is possible to open a blank instance of it and paste in sections

    Is goldwave lossy?
EDIT: Found out GoldWave is lossy

You can do that with MP3DirectCut. You can open more than one instance of it, open different MP3s with each, and copy and paste parts of an MP3 from one to the other. That sort of thing......

MP3DirectCut is the only MP3 editor I know of that doesn't require you to re-encode.

  7. mp3HD looks like a dead-end that will never gain any traction. Since it's a lossless format you could just decode it to wave for editing, then afterwards encode to mp3HD again without any quality loss, though I'd rather convert to FLAC, AAC or whatever floats your boat.
