I just backed up a blu-ray disc of the "Equalizer" using CloneBD. Th result was excellent. No sound distortion, echo chamber or any such junk was noticeable. I will need to try it on other Cinivia Videos to see if this was a fluke or not, as I have heard some criticism to the contrary. Now, let's hope for a price break.

That's interesting since it says "CloneBD lets you copy any unprotected Blu-ray."

Just donate some thousands of $$$ to a Russian cracker, and Cinavia will be defeated in no time

CloneBD does not remove Cinavia by itself. It must be used in conjunction with AnyDVD HD. And it has to be one of the newer versions of AnyDVD HD.

But doesn't it only work for players on the computer or does it work if you burn it to a disk and play it on a stand alone player?

As I said before, you must use it with AnyDVD HD. In the program settings of AnyDVD HD, you will see a box that says "Remove Cinavia watermark from CloneBD audio during copy." Put a check mark in this box.

In CloneBD, you must put a check mark in the box to "convert HD audio to AC3". You will see this control after you've imported the movie and are on the page where you can select the size of the output and designate the output folder. This applies if you are making a Blu-ray output.

If you are making an MP4 or MKV file, select either of those formats just after you import the movie, and select AC3 as the type of audio.

And don't forget to check, in program "settings" in AnyDVDHD, "Remove Cinivia watermark
from CloneBD audio stream during copy." If done, there appears no need to convert HD audio to AC3."
You must check the above item, as unchecked is the default.
The Equalizer, a Cinivia disc, played just fine and no audio problems were encountered with the computer or Blu_Ray player.
Looks like they did it, but I will continue further testing to be absolutely certain and happy with the results!!!

I will however, check further before I am completely satisfied. Besides, $108, for lifetime , is a bit too much.

I'm sure it will make Slysoft happy too, since you need to buy two products to get the job done.

If you are any kind of a serious Disc ripper, you probably already have AnyDVD HD.

Well, you don't actually have to buy CloneBD. It works to remove Cinavia when you use it together with AnyDVD HD, even in trial mode. And the trial mode doesn't expire. You just have a big ass logo on your video. If you are satisfied with the quality of the sound (very subjective), you could demux the result and put it together with the video processed by another program. More trouble than most are willing to go through, but still a viable working path.

I do some testing with CloneBD, but I'll never buy it. Nor will I do the demux/switch audio technique I just described. I'm not particularly worried about Cinavia, since none of my equipment can detect it. And the conversion quality of CloneBD may never match other tools I use, like BDRebuilder, MeGUI and VidCoder. Slysoft will have to put in a lot more user controls before I would be interested in the program.
