I believe PowerDVD 12 version 1618 was the last one released without Cinavia.

You need to use something other than PowerDVD then. PowerDVD has been sticking it to its customers for so many years, we have to go back about 4 years to find one that might be considered to be customer friendly. Hell, they've been removing functionality for so long I have wondered if they might actually release a version that couldn't play anything at all because that sure seemed to be the direction they were heading in.

Which one would you suggest jman? All I would be using power DVD to play are DVD's and BluRays, I leave everything else up to VLC player.

Currently TotalMedia Theatre is considered better than PowerDVD.

Yes, but TMT 5 has Cinavia detection as of patch 5.3.1.172, which was released in late Oct. of 2012.

The only commercial player I know of without Cinavia detection right now is DVD Fab's Media Player, but I haven't been impressed with it so far.

Corel WinDVD 11 hasn't been updated in over a year, and it may not have Cinavia detection yet, but I'm not certain about it.
