    I am looking to RIP a DVD ( series of video lessons) to upload to my iPad. The filename is .TVID file ( 79 MB) . I can't seem to open it with VLC, MakeMKV or any other application. I can't even find a file type called TVID online.

    Can anyone help please? Thank you

    I wold guess that you can not play this 'dvd' in a regular dvd player either.

    PC playback only. There is probably an .exe file on that disk to control playback.

    Play the disk on your PC and use screen-capture software to recapture the video. Convert that as appropriate for your iPad.
