Hi, Could someone tell me what the best way to re-synch an AVI file where the Audio is running faster than the picture?. I used to use Virtualdub Mod but wondered if there is now an easier way?.

Constant out of sync? It might be easier to with avidemux, open avi, under video and audio choose copy, under audio->shift set the audio delay/before in ms. Save as a new avi.

But I don't remember how it worked with virtualdubmod...maybe same?

Yes. Mkvmergegui is easy...but you can't keep it as a an avi then.

VirtualDubMod > Streams > Stream List > RC on the available audio stream > Interleaving.. > Audio skew correction.
Insert a value or a -value.
'Video' should be set 'Direct stream copy' before saving.
    VirtualDub is similar.

Thanks for your help guys. I have most of the AVI files now in synch now however I have a couple that drifts out of synch towards the end of the video, what can I do with that?

Edit: I just found out that the file is actually two joined video's so I split it within MKVMerge which fixed the problem!. Thanks again
