When I add a TS file (which is MPEG2 720x576 25fps, ac3 48khz) & an srt to finish as a mkv, the following message comes up while in progress.

Warning: Found at least one B frame without second reference in a non closed GOP.

What does this mean? any issues with frame rate or audio sync? I'm clueless. Everything seems fine when playing, but I thought it might be worth asking.

    Thanks

  2. This means that the video stream is broken in at least one place and there might be some glitches in the playback. (depends on how good/robust the decoder is in covering corruptions inside the video stream)

Since your input is mpeg2 video I would generally recommend to send your input through ProjectX ( and cut the raw streams with Cuttermaran if need be).
ProjectX will extract and tries to fix errors in your video and audio streams, which you can then use with mkvmerge to create your new file.
