Ok guys here goes,
I have an old AMD K2-450
128 Ram
5400 rpm 20 gig HD
I downloaded a DIVX movie GOOD quality....
Used TMPGEnc and skipped the virtualdub step..... too excited to see if it works
Granted....it took roughly 5 1/2 hours per half of movie (2 parts)
and used Nero 5.something and burned into VCD 2.0 format with my old HP 4x CDR another 30 min to burn.....
and it played BEAUTIFULLY in my Apex ad1200 DVD player (65 bucks from circuit city) and I might add that DVD player does FAR more than my higher end dvd player that sucks..... this cheap little gem has all kinds of features and it played cdr and cdrw vcd like a champ.
I just wated to post to see if this helps others just starting...im a newbie as well but have been messing with movies and VCDs for a few years now...my first attempt to make my own... I m very pleased thanks to the help on this board. Hope this helps others just getting started.....thanks again
