i heard that the gypPlay plays asf and avi files, but when i try to play it it wouldn't work. it said something about not mpeg 1 format.

gyplay cannot play asf files, You must convert them to mpeg first. It can play AVI files but not DiVX files, just plan ordinary AVI files with no codes

actually don't know, never needed to know that before, just always knew which did and which didn't

so in other word i wouldn't know that mean if it didnt works i would waste cd's right. so regular avi works, but not divx right.

anything that you download (such as movies or tv episodes) in avi or asf usually need a codec which means they can play on gypplay.
