  1. HI, i recently downloaded the LOTR screened dvd rip from Kazaa, 700 meg each part. Anyway it's 640x272. I tried encoding in with tmpenc but when i play it i get a messed up image.

it's got the movie on one half of my tv and green/black lines on the other, I have a panasonic Rv31k i think. When i play it in 4:3 or letterbox i get the same thing HELP anyone

  2. I think I may have the same AVI. When I try to convert it to mpeg using TMPEGenc, for putting on a VCD, I get the video just fine but no audio. I do a simple de-multiplex of the mpeg file and it shows via the file size that it HAS encoded an audio file, but I sure can't figure out why it won't playback. The audio is 48khz mpeg 2.

  3. Stratz999:

To fix the resolution, make an avisynth script with bicubicresize to change the format to 325x240 or whatever NTSC is supposed to be.

    Trailryder:

Maybe it's AC3 audio? You will have to convert it to mp2 and do a downmix to surround and downsample to 44100 hz if that is the case.

  6. Did you guys figure out how to convert this thing correctly yet? I have the same files and have had no luck with it either. I am trying to convert each file to MPEG2 so I can burn both of them onto a single 4.7gig DVD. But When I use TMPEG encoder, I just get a black screen. Can't seem to get around it. If you guys could post your exact steps you took that would be very cool.

  7. Just an FYI, there is a VCD/MPG format floating around. I haven't looked on Kazaa but I did find it a couple of months ago using Direct Connect. The files were 'Lord of the Rings CD1.mpg' or something like that (3 cd's total). I just burned them without converting and they play fine on my Apex.

  8. Hi All

I think I've got the same Avi's. They are in DivX format and I made a perfect DVD-R from it. Even with Dolby Surround AC3 Sound.

The How To is to long for this Reply, but e-mail me for a Word Or PDF file. Please mention the Word version you are using.

I think this is the Centropy version. The four disc SVCD version is known as the TCF one.

  11. Hi there,

I found that the word file was 3,5 Mgb big. So I created a link on mine WebPage. You can find it here. http://www.epiphany.nl
