I have the LOTR on SVCD I have been trying to reproduce this quality when making my svcd but cant get near it.Iam using TMPG and 2-pass VBR with the same settings that were used for LOTR SVCD but still cant produce these same results. When LOTR plays on my widescreen t.v it looks just like a dvd .The svcd I have created do look good but not as sharpe and the colours dont look as bright. Also when LOTR plays in my Pioneer 340 it shows track 1 and counts time playing, but when I create vcd or Svcd I Just get PBC VCD show up and no time of film showing how do I enable this when buring many thanks.

TMPGEnc is great but that set of SVCD's was created with CCE (using the DVD2SVCD kit)
CCE 3 or more passes is the best I've seenyour pal,

the tcf svcd dvd screener release on four svcds looks OK but not that great. It pales in comparison to a 4 pass vbr CCE encode. I'd be shocked if tcf release was done with CCE it just doesn't look as good as normal CCE encodes. That said I ain't complaining.
