    Panasonic DVD RV31 plays fine 640x480, besides 352x240, 480x480 and 720x480 resolutions. I convert DVDRips downoaded from Internet and 640x480 size is very desirable. I'd like to know how many DVD standalone players able to play movie of 640x480 resolution.

    I found out just last week that my Pioneer DV-C503 (5 cd DV-333) does indeed play 640x480. I can't remember if I ripped it MPEG-1 or MPEG-2. I burned the CD-RW with Nero.
