hello there
i have this problem in avi mux when i add arabic SRT subtitle to avi its just shows random letters
i Used UTF-8 and other encoding but the problem is the same

 have you tried other software than KMPlayer?
 
 Please tell us what happens if you use (for example)
 
 Windows Media Player + DirectVobSub, or MPC-HC with its internal subtitle filter.
 
 Assuming your arabic SRT files are all O.K., maybe the problem is in KMPlayer's settings

	Sounds like the wrong font is used to render the subtitles. 
 -> check the KMPlayer manual on how to change the font that is used for the subtitles.
 (Is you do no multiplex but embed/hardsub the subtitles make sure you use the right font during embedding.)Last edited by Selur; 7th Mar 2014 at 02:28.

 I don't use VLC, because it's too complicated for my tastes.
 
 Please try the external AVI Splitter of MPC-BE or LAV Splitter, and check if the change makes some difference.
