Trying to convert an AVI (DIVX) to VCD. The DIVX is a perfect DVDRIP where picture and audio are properly synced. However, after converting the AVI to VCD, the sound and picture goes out of sync more and more, and in the end it seems like the sound is two seconds before the picture.
When looking at the AVI-file properties in Virtual dub I have 126174 videoframes at 25.00 frames per sec (totally 84min 6.96sec) , and 126163 audioframes. I use VD to extract the sound and convert it to 44.1 khz, and I end up with a wav-file that is 84min 5.40 sec...
I guess that it is this length-mismatch that gives me the syncproblem after the MPEGencoding.
What do I do wrong??? Plz gimme a hint...

Follow the guides on this site and use Besweet and BesweetGUI and create a mp2 file directly from either the wav or mp3 file from your avi. Then mux the video and audio file together. I've never had a problem with this method. With other methods 1 out of 3 or 4 movies had sychproblems.
