I have a Monoprice MHD Action Camera. when I pull it into my windows 8 pc using Movie Maker I lose the sound. Is there a better video editing software that I can use for this? Is it the way I'm bring it over, I don't know, Please advise.

with most cams you don't need to use software to transfer the video from the cam. use windows to direct file copy like you would with any other file you wanted to copy. make a folder somewhere for the videos and put them there. then any software can be used on them. after you copy one use the free "mediainfo" on it to determines it's specs. put mediainfo into text mode and copy paste the results here.
