  1. I have successfully backed up my DVD to my hard drive, and compressed it into a DivX avi file. However when I view it there is a slight clip in the sound and tick every second. I know it’s not my computer.
This is what I am doing:
    DVD Decrypter v3.0.0.17
    For grabbing the VOB's
    DVDx v1.8
    For compressing to DivX

However when I view the file I have clips and ticks in the file. Vary annoying
    Please help!

  2. Throw away DVDx!. ( All versions! )
    That's your problem.

Use DVD2AVI to create a project file from your VOB's, and use other methods to encode to DIVx.
