    how about trying HandBrake? Open source, cross platform and free.

  3. QTGMC().SRestore() worked fairly well here. You won't be able to remove some of the artifacts because the video was too badly treated before you got it.

    Handbrake has an option for animation, and a preset for 23.976fps

    I think this helped, check it out.

  6. Just for comparison, here's what I got with just

    Code:
    Mpeg2Source("sample.d2v", CPU=6,)  
    AssumeTFF()
    QTGMC()
    SRestore()
    It could use some more repair and noise reduction but this thread is just about restoring the original film frames so I didn't bother.

  8. Those are the artifacts I mentioned earlier. I don't think there's any automated way to eliminate them.
