  1. Gambatte is a cycle accurate GB/GBC emulator. Fraps doesn't recognize it. Other software I've experimented with (Weezy, Hypercam 3) captured the video but not the audio, even when I specifically told them to, and regardless of which audio output I selected (tried them all). I found no information on this anywhere on the whole internet. Is there any way around this? Thanks in advance.

The developers of that emulator have a directory at sourceforge.net,
why not get in touch with them

  3. Done, thanks. Let's wait and see if anything comes out of that. Any other ideas?

  4. No answer from them so far. So I tried other ways to get sound from Hypercam but to no avail. I don't have a Stereo Mix option on my laptop (DELL Inspiron 15 Multimedia with Windows 7 64bit). Checking or unchecking disabled/disconnected devices does nothing at all. I tried installing the realtek HD drivers but they were systematically rejected. I tried the Conexant drivers, but they made no difference. I tried Virtual Audio Cable but no matter how I set it up I get no sound either while recording or in the resulting video. Depending on how I do it, Hypercam sometimes gives me an error message saying "To record system sound option is not compatible with your system default audio" which apparently no one else ever got and I don't know what it means. By contrast, Fraps still records audio fine with just the regular sound output settings. But as mentioned before, it's not compatible with Gambatte.

EDIT: I got it to work at last! Solution for Hypercam 3: use the Logarith codec for video recording and VAC for audio recording (be sure to set it up properly). I gave the same tips on sourceforge for anyone who might need them.
