The tv has digital audio/spdif (i dont know what that means). My tv doesn't optical and audio output. I want to buy a sound bar or a home theater system. If anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it.

  2. What are you watching? Over the air broadcast TV? Cable/satellite TV? DVD/Blu-ray player? Ie, what is the source(s) of the audio?

Buy a sound bar that has a digital optical input, that will work with with your tv,if you buy a home theater system then buy one with hdmi inputs and hdmi output if you are using a blu-ray player and HDTV box with hdmi output.

I myself wouldn't use the tv output as a sound source.

Just looked at the tv and it uses co-axial audio and mini headphone jack so buy a sound bar with co-axial audio and/or analog audio, not digital optical like i thought.

The headphone will work as analog audio out and a sound bar with co-axial input will work. The co-axial connector is audio output, not input.

That is only true & workable if the "coaxial" output listed (on the specs & manual) refer to "coaxial digital audio" and not "coaxial rf" output. Hard to tell from the extant material.

If it is: a standard RCA cable should work.
If it isn't: you would have to make use of the Headphone jack, which adds some complication in the way of gain structure (volume). Cabling would be slightly different in that case, depending.
