I converted a vhs to dvd using Dazzle by Pinnacle. The converted image looks like you are looking thru a black window with a black border and section in the middle. not sure what to do. I converted several before but didn't realize I didn't have the audio plugged in. All those dvds looked good, just no sound. I believe this is an older product and have tried to get help online without any luck. Any ideas?

It sounds like you converted a 4:3 letterboxed VHS into a 16:9 DVD, thus adding black borders to the sides as well as top and bottom. Try redoing it as a 4:3 to 4:3 conversion.
I'm not sure if this is actually a question. You have to redo them properly with sound. Or are you saying there was no windowboxing on these? If so, what did you do differently?
BTW, "split screen" has a specific meaning, so please don't use it in this situation. -
thanks for the help..i will give it a try, i understand the term split screen, i guess it's more like looking out a black window pane will the 4:3 take care of that? I mentioned my other attempts to convert by way of saying i didn't have a problem with the "window pane effect" just the audio, which was fixed by plugging in the audio plug!
