  1. I keep recording videos in the 480 x 480 resolution. However, when I go to merge them in my program and after merging I must export them... It exports the videos to a different resolution.

Pretty much; how can I edit my 480 x 480 videos and make sure they stay at the same resolution. OR be able to switch it back to 480 x 480 . thanks.

  2. Tell the program not to change the resolution.

  3. How? What program do you recommend I use? Because I've been using imovie, but whenever it offers to export the video, they only give me a few resolutions to decide between.. none being 480 x 480

  4. You might have mentioned you were on a Mac. The obvious answer, if it doesn't give you the choice you want, is to use something else, anything else. Most of us here are more used to PCs where there are many choices.

480x480 is very unusual. They don't play back at that resolution, do they? Are they like NTSC SVCDs that are 4:3 and play back at 640x480? The reason I ask is that I suspect that the aspect ratio is very off at 480x480 and it's meant to be resized during playback.

I'm not really sure because I'm new to this entire thing however that sounds about right. However, when I reupload the video it needs to be in 480 x 480 resolution... But I can't get it back. Am I making sense.

  7. I can't help you with iMovie. I believe the Mac version of Handbrake will be able to do what you want.

Handbrake will let me change the resolution? How so? The program kind of confuses me.

I thought you wanted to keep the resolution at 480x480. By default it will keep the resolution (it will crop black borders if you don't disable cropping) and the source's display aspect ratio.

Well I edit my clips in Imovie or whatever video source, but whenever I do that it changes the videos resolution it seems.
